Arts Council funding for Family Tree!

I have been awarded Arts Council funding to make a new piece of comic solo theatre exploring diasporic identities.

Misri Dey

Hello all!

I am very happy to say that the Arts Council have awarded me funding to make a new solo, for now a first version of a piece called Family Tree - exploring the nonsense, humour, violence, and many tensions of all boundaries , borders and territorial policing that we all engage with. I am using the framework of a series of stories, real and imagined, around my family - brown and white people and what that throws up and into the mix.

Expect music, stories, movement, projected images, and a horse.

We will move across the personal to the geographic, political - yours and mine, mine and yours .....and more.

I am lucky to have a great team are working with me - Hall for Cornwall, Falmouth University and artists Agnieszka Blonska, Andy Moor, Louis Purver, Kuldip Singh-Barmi, producer Isabele Bianchini and others.
